RGM Printing Press

RGM is an Italian-made etching printing press with a new design that can print with 1 mm thick zinc plates and 3.2 mm linoleum sheets.

How to Use

To print the engraved zinc plate, position the support surface as shown in Option A (with the recessed sides facing upwards). To print with linoleum, turn the support surface to Option B (again with the recessed sides facing upwards).

This friction press uses the upper and lower rollers to drive the plate with the aid of the crank. The upper roller is adjusted using the regulating screws (T-shaped screws), which should be set according to the thickness of the lino or zinc plate.

To achieve a good print, it is important to ensure that the top and bottom rollers are parallel by adjusting the regulating screws equally. It is recommended that you place the dry lino or zinc plate, together with the felt and paper, between the rollers and use the regulating screws to make adjustments until you achieve the correct pressure before applying the ink.

If required, the press can be clamped to a table using the openings at the bottom of the machine.

Periodic oiling of the roller rotation points is recommended.
